Kali Yuga

Human chariot entered Kali Yuga at midnight February 3102 BCE. Amongst the Four Yugas or the four main cycles Human race goes through as described in Bhagwad Geeta, we are in the last cycle. Kali Yuga or as some say KulYug is the rein of destruction and materialism and i believe we can't deny this fact.  Kali Yuga is suppose to last 432,000 years. Spiritual degeneration of Human civilization takes place in this rein when darkness (Positivity of such an enormous extend, radiates so much of light that it appears dark) also described as OCCULT takes over our thought process and we get detached from the spiritual awareness bringing chaos and destruction.When lord krishna spread the gyan(knowledge) of Geeta to Arjuna he said that Kali-yuga is the last rein of human evolution after which the cycle starts again.

What happens in Kali-Yuga:

Ignorance of dharma, Lust for power, leaders stop promoting spirituality, Gurus no longer  respected, thoughts for murder and destruction coming to people’s mind without any justification,  instead of being selfless we will become selfish, the world of materialism will be the final frontier.

The Last stage of Kali Yuga:

In the final stage of Kali-Yuga the rein of mass destruction, blood strained intrigue and anarchy  becomes so dominant that people will find it difficult to cure their souls not being able to free  themselves from the cycle of life and death. Our planet would need to heal itself from the burden  of human sins animals will extinct and glaciers will start to melt. In this wheel of time we will lead  ourselves to total destruction where our own race might become extinct.

Kali Yuga as stated in Vishnu Purana:

Kali Yuga is lead by the 10^th and final avatar of Lord Vishnu named as Kali descendant of Sri Kalki. It is mentioned in Vishnu Purana that the negative manifestation of Lord Vishnu is Kali who operates in this world because of destruction and evil, Kalki returns riding on a white horse to fight the evil forces and Kali towards the end of Kali-Yuga. The world will go through a lot of bloodshed and anarchy till all the evil is destroyed and human chariot enters Satya Yuga the first era of this mysterious cycle also known as spiritual era or golden age.

Corroboration between Hindu calendar and Mayan Prophecies about 2012:

It is amazing that the beginning of both the calendars over 5,000 years ago predicts a totally new world or golden age after about 5,000 years into their calendars.

In the Brahma-Purana Lord Krishna predicted that this Golden Age will start 5,000 years after the  beginning of the Kali Yuga, and will last for 10,000 years. There is only a difference of 12 years  between the Hindu's beginning of the Kali Yuga and the Mayan's beginning of the Fifth Great  Cycle.

The evolution of a new world is prophesied to appear about the same time that the Mayans  predicted it to come! The Mayan calendar began with the Fifth Great Cycle in 3114 BC ending on  21 December 2012 AD. The Hindu Kali Yuga calendar began on 18 February 3102 B.C. Golden Age  Could Begin in 2012

In ancient times Hindus used lunar & solar calendars . If an average lunar year equals 354.36 days, then this would be about 5270 lunar years from the time when the Kali Yuga started until 21 Dec 2012. This is the same year that the Mayans predict rebirth of our planet.  If we consider 5113 solar years of 365.24 days per year, and is day number 1,867,817 into the Kali Yuga. By either solar or lunar years, we are over 5,000 years into the Kali Yuga and it is time for Lord Krishna's prophecy to happen according to the ancient Hindu scriptures when human chariot enters Golden age.
